1. Apply Sunscreen Daily

Additionally, consider wearing sunglasses with UV protection to shield your eyes from the sun's harmful rays.

Proper hydration is essential for maintaining healthy skin. When you're out in the sun, your body loses moisture through sweat, so it's important to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Hydrated skin is more resilient and less prone to sun damage.

5. Avoid Tanning Beds

While a sun-kissed glow may seem appealing, tanning beds are not a safe alternative to natural sunlight. They emit harmful UV radiation that can damage your skin and increase the risk of skin cancer. Embrace your natural skin tone and use self-tanning products if you desire a bronzed look.

6. Examine Your Skin Regularly

As a sun goddess, it's crucial to keep a close eye on your skin and check for any changes regularly. Look for new moles, freckles, or any unusual spots that have appeared or changed in size, shape, or color. If you notice anything concerning, consult a dermatologist for a professional evaluation.

7. Nourish Your Skin

After sun exposure, it's important to nourish and replenish your skin. Use a gentle cleanser to remove any sunscreen, dirt, or sweat, and follow up with a moisturizer to hydrate your skin. 1. Invest in ALL NATURAL sunscreen or sunblock.

We prefer a natural sunscreen over sunblock just because it absorbs faster and doesn’t leave as much of a white residue AND its clean.

2. Keep your skin hydrated all the time.

Hydration is KEY to keeping your skin feeling good and looking young. Not only do you want to hydrate your insides but you also want to hydrate your outer most layer as well.

We like to use body butter (or shimmer body butter) before every bath or shower, since body butter tends to feel a bit heavier in the summer months I apply it before I hop in the tub so when I get out it gives my skin the perfect amount of nourishment.

You really can't go wrong with any body lotion with a shimmer.

During the day I periodically apply a light weight coconut milk lotion to keep my body constantly feeling moisturized.

3. Replace your trusty old Hawaiian tanning oil with 100% coconut oil, it’s much more hydrating and has a natural SPF of 4.

4. Get a sun hat. The less exposure your face has the better. You can still enjoy the sun without having to emerge your face in it.

5. Don’t forget to protect your pout, make sure you are using a ALL NATURAL lip balm that contains an SPF of 15 or higher. Apply regularly to maintain constant hydration.

6. After a day in the sun cool down with a cold shower. After sweating all day a cool shower will keep your pores from getting clogged, decreasing your risk for breakouts.
