What is Matcha and why is it good for your skin? DIY Recipes

When you think of Matcha, you most likely think tea because of the incredible metabolism booster.

Matcha green tea prevents acne breakout and skin aging signs. This tea is well known for its detoxifying properties.

Matcha is high in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and has anti-inflammatory properties and protects your skin from free radicals. But did you know that matcha is not only good for your internally but excellent for your skin too??

Matcha Green Tea is Great for your organic skin care routine

Matcha powder has remarkable properties that makes your complexion fresh and healthy.  It helps reduce inflammation, it exfoliates and eliminates dead skin cells.  When you exfoliate, your skin looks healthy and glows.

If you suffer from acne, rosacea or inflamed skin, Matcha has anti-inflammatory properties that will help reduce the redness and is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin.

Matcha stimulates elastic production which gives your skin volume.  Elastin is a protein that coils and recoils like a spring in your tissues and organs. As we age, the elastin in our skin begins to decline just like collagen.  Lower levels of this protein cause your skin to wrinkle and sag.

For those with oily skin, Matcha helps shrink pores and removes oil from the skin and slows down the production of oil that causes acne.

Matcha is as natural as it can get and gentle enough for younger skin but effective in giving your skin a healthy boost. And these recipes are the perfect compliment to other DIY recipes from the past.
