Skin Conditions
A milium cyst is a small, white bump that typically appears on the nose and cheeks. These cysts are often found in groups, and in these cases are called milia. The cysts occur when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin. Keratin is a strong protein that is typically found in skin tissues, hair, and nail cells. Milia can occur in people of all ages and are typically found on the face, eyelids, and cheeks.
Products that we recommend for Milia:
Rosacea is a common skin disease. It often begins with a tendency to blush or flush more easily than other people. The redness can slowly spread beyond the nose and cheeks to the forehead and chin. Even the ears, chest, and back can be red all the time. Rosacea can cause more than redness. There are so many signs and symptoms that rosacea has four subtypes:
Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea: Redness, flushing, visible blood vessels. Papulopustular Rosacea: Redness, swelling, and acne-like breakouts. Phymatous Rosacea: Skin thickens and has a bumpy texture. Ocular Rosacea: Eyes red and irritated, eyelids can be swollen, and person may have what looks like a sty.
With time, people who have rosacea often see permanent redness in the center of their face.

Hyperpigmentation is the production of excess melanin causing dark spots on the skin. Age spots, liver spots, freckles, sun spots, pregnancy mask are all types of hyperpigmentation and there are several treatments available to reduce or remove the darker skin. Hyperpigmentation refers to areas of skin where an excess of melanin has been produced and formed deposits, causing skin patches that appear darker than the surrounding skin. Common skin areas that experience hyperpigmentation or dyschromia are the face, arms, and hands. Age spots, liver spots, freckles, sun spots, melasma, and any typical dark or brown spots in the skin are examples of hyper pigmentation.
Products recommended for Hyperpigmentation or Dark Spots:
Eczema: Rather than a specific condition, eczema is a group of unrelated diseases that have a similar appearance. When it is new eczema, the affected skin appears red and elevated with small blisters(vesicles) containing a clear fluid. When the blisters break, the affected skin will weep and ooze. In older eczema, chronic eczema, the blisters are less prominent and the skin is thickened, elevated, and scaling. Eczema almost always is very itchy.
Psoriasis: Unpredictable and irritating, psoriasis is one of the most baffling and persistent of skin disorders. It's characterized by skin cells that multiply up to 10 times faster than normal. As underlying cells reach the skin's surface and die, their sheer volume causes raised, red plaques covered with white scales. Psoriasis typically occurs on the knees, elbows, and scalp, and it can also affect the torso, palms, and soles of the feet.
Products recommended for Eczema & Psoriasis:
Acne is a condition that affects the skin’s oil glands. The small holes in your skin (pores) connect to oil glands under the skin. These glands make an oily substance called sebum. The pores connect to the glands by a canal called a follicle. Inside the follicles, oil carries dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. A thin hair also grows through the follicle and out to the skin. When the follicle of a skin gland clogs up, a pimple grows. Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Acne is not a serious health threat, but it can cause scars.
Products recommended for Acne & Blemishes:
Blackhead: A familiar term for what is medically called an open comedo. A comedo, the primary sign of acne, consists of a widened hair follicle filled with skin debris, bacteria, and oil called sebum. A blackhead has a wide opening to the skin and is capped with a blackened mass of skin debris. In contrast, a closed comedo, commonly called a whitehead, has an obstructed opening to the skin and may rupture to cause a low-grade skin inflammatory reaction in the area.

Have you ever noticed small dry patches on skin around your body? This issue is common enough that most people will notice it at least once in their life, if not more. In most situations, random dry skin patches don’t indicate anything serious such as a skin disease or condition; instead they are due to using harsh soaps, wearing itchy clothing, taking long and hot showers, or misusing moisturizer. In other cases, however, medications may be to blame for these dry spots.
Products we recommend for Dry Patches:

Oily skin refers to a skin type that is shiny, thick, greasy and heavy textured skin especially on the T-zone (from your forehead, all through to your nose and chin). When you have it, you will notice the excessive oil on your skin at midday, and this might melt down all the makeup you are wearing if it is not for oily skins. It is common in younger women but as they age, their skin becomes much drier. To help you identify it, oily skins are characterized by greasy feeling, shinny looks, enlarged pores (visible), often breakouts, spots, blackheads, pimples, and other blemishes due to the excessive production sebum by the overactive or hyperactive sebaceous glands (glands that produced oil) than it is needed.

It is often claimed that periorbital dark circles are caused by tiredness or working too hard or even just staying up late. While this can be true, the truth is that your genes play a huge role here. So what exactly is happening when you get dark circles under or around your eyes? Simply put, periorbital dark circles are a result of the thin layer of skin below your eyes showing the blood vessels and the blood they contain more clearly than anywhere else on your body. (For reference, this skin around your eyelids, called periorbital skin, is on average about 0.5 mm thick compared to an average of about 2 mm thick on most of the rest of your body.)

Our skin is at the mercy of many forces as we age: sun, harsh weather, and bad habits. But we can take steps to help our skin stay supple and fresh-looking. How your skin ages will depend on a variety of factors: your lifestyle, diet, heredity, and other personal habits. For instance, smoking can produce free radicals, once-healthy oxygen molecules that are now overactive and unstable. Free radicals damage cells, leading to, among other things, premature wrinkles. There are other reasons, too. Primary factors contributing to wrinkled, spotted skin include normal aging, exposure to the sun (photoaging) and pollution, and loss of subcutaneous support (fatty tissue between your skin and muscle). Other factors that contribute to aging of the skin include stress, gravity, daily facial movement, obesity, and even sleep position.
The products we recommend for Aging Skin:
Normal Skin: Any light carrier oil such as Hempseed, Coconut oil, Grapeseed, Sweet Almond
Oily Skin: Grapeseed, Sweet Almond, Apricot Oil, Jojoba, Hempseed oil
Dry Skin: Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond, Olive Oil, Rosehip
Sensitive Skin: Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond, Apricot,
Mature Skin: Jojoba, Avocado, Apricot, Sesame seed, Rosehips
*It’s important to note that being on this list doesn’t promise that it will work for your skin type.* Our skin will decide which oil it likes the most and remember that skin takes two weeks to turn over so anything that pops up between week 1-2 was probably already going to happen.
